Announcing Two New Author Talks!
FREE tickets are now available for two more Foreword Festival author talks at Stowmarket Library!
History in Haughley and Fornham
On Tuesday 12th August, join us for a special evening talk from local historian Dr Mike Walker. Discover the fascinating story behind the events of 1173 in nearby Haughley and Fornham, and find out why this little-known history is so important!
Copies of Dr Mike Walker’s beautiful coffee-table book about the siege of Haughley Caste and the Battle of Fornham, A Hard and Grievous Battle, will be available to buy on the day.
From Firefighter to Published Author
Have you ever wondered what makes someone decide to write a book? On Wednesday 13th August, join retired firefighter and public speaker, Russell Webb. He’ll be talking about his personal story of loss, healing, and the power of the written word in this inspiring lunchtime talk.
Copies of Russell’s book, Love Beyond Love, will be available to buy on the day, and all proceeds will be donated to the Firefighters Charity and Cancer Research.
These are both FREE events, but advance booking is advised. Book your tickets online, in person at Stowmarket Library, or call 01449 700549.
