We’re planning a festival for the whole community – and we’re giving local businesses the chance to get involved!
We’re building this festival together with businesses in Eye and the surrounding villages. We’ll promote and support your business and your brand with sponsorship opportunities, and let your customers know that you’re part of our team.

The Foreword Festival isn’t just about running literary events. We work with fantastic authors who might not usually be invited to big festivals – perhaps because they write in more fringe genres, or about non-mainstream subjects, or because they don’t have a big publisher behind them to publicise their books. At the same time, we welcome all readers, including those who might not feel at home at big-name festivals.
We’re a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, and our Directors and volunteers are running this festival because we believe in the power of books and reading. We love discovering new authors and new stories, and we want to bring a weekend-long book-themed party to Eye. We’ll be attracting a bookish audience, who in turn will bring support and custom to local businesses.
We aim to bring writers and readers together, to introduce new books and new authors to new audiences, and to celebrate creativity – in Eye, in Suffolk, and beyond.

| Thank you for your support! We have an AMAZING line-up for our performance poetry night on Saturday 20th June. We’re bringing Henry Normal (BAFTA winner, poet, comedian, TV producer and co-writer of The Royale Family and The Mrs Merton Show) to The Bank Arts Centre in Eye! With support from four entertaining poets, expect an evening of comedy, emotion, and wordplay. Sponsoring the Saturday night headliner will put your company name and logo on our publicity (posters, flyers, website, social media, and everything else we’re doing to promote the festival). On Sunday night, we’re bringing author, poet, and inspirational speaker Ashley Hickson-Lovence to The Bank Arts Centre in Eye! Ashley is the author of The 392, Wild East, and the award-nominated Your Show. He is a lecturer, tutor and mentor for creative writing courses and organisations. He’ll be in conversation with Eye-based author and Foreword Festival co-founder Jackie Carriera, both of whom have made the move from Hackney to East Anglia. Expect an evening of entertainment for readers, writers and book-lovers – and everyone who calls East Anglia home. Sponsorship in kind: We are very happy to consider sponsorship in kind.
